Artist Statement
The title "Transmutation"creates an intimately interpreted pictorial language… allude to a completely fictional space.
"Each piece finds it's origins in a desire to articulate infinite nuance within a finite framework. Every visual element acts as both formal andemblematic accessory to a greater whole in an attempt to create an intimately interpreted pictorial language. Although anchored within the 'real', the paintings allude to a completely fictional space that can only be made manifest through the image making process and the material filter of painting ."
