With this piece, I wanted to bring the subjects to life without having to necessarily rely on composition, which is considered essential in photography. Using a macro lens to achieve maximum detail, I photographed over 30 images separately, each shot approximately one foot from the subject's face, and stitched them together by hand, creating the expressive mosaic that you see. By combining the elements of play, nature and the visceral textures of each subjects' skin, the piece is hopefully brought to life in a way not seen in traditional photography.
