As I enter my second decade of showing my pastels in Cape May, I have chosen to reflect on what has made me most moved to create and share. I have revisited many of my popular themes, and hope you enjoy the show.
“It is the timeless feeling that I experience when walking alone at the oceans edge, or on path along the marsh. The feeling of unity with nature and the irresistible calling that I answer through my art. I like to put myself in a place where I can sense the bigness and drama and sublime all together, and do my best to bring that onto a surface that I can share with the viewer. No true landmarks, and few examples of human presence appear in most of my works. It is only the voice, the moods, the reasons and sense of nature that I hope to tell.”
