This collection harps on the notions of temporality and oneness. Created during the months of the quarantining, these encaustic paintings were made without the pressure of haste. I can recall how time seemed to halt as I painted. This, in combination with working on a smaller scale, provided me an ability to focus on the moment. Reflecting on the recurring imagery of lone boats I was compelled to paint, I recognize they are a representation of myself on this journey of painting amidst a pandemic.
