ROBIN HIPPEL Solo Exhibit - Gallery 3 Sculptural Ceramics October 22 to November 28, 2011
Robin
Hippel is a local artist transplanted from
Georgia where she studied and acquired a BFA in Ceramic Arts at the University
in Athens. Robin creates original functional and sculptural ceramics for
display or use. "When I found the clay medium, I was home. Working on
the potters-wheel became what I call my orbital bliss. A highlight of
Robin's exhibit is three circular Ceramic Sculptural Wall Relief Medallions, a tribute
memorial to World Trade Center.
Also to be shown in this exhibit are a selection of
Fruit Platters, Tree inspired Vessels, Ceramic Jars with glass-adorned
lids, an Orbital Bliss Rattle, and Interactive Ceramic Wall Figures.
"The
transformation of a cool lump of clay into a beautiful, conversational visual
focal point is an exciting challenge for me."
