Artist Statement “Water & Wax” reflects my life long attraction to the New Jersey Shore and its surroundings. I choose vibrant colors to convey nautical elements that coincide with our memories of the New Jersey Shore. The movement and serenity in my work conveys the gratitude and bounty expressed by the ocean environment. Following the effects of Hurricane Sandy, I was even more inclined to connect the water through a series of peaceful encaustic paintings.

The Racing Series
The maps used in Inzero's collection titled The Racing Series were give to Jim by a friend who knew that he painted on maps and also enjoyed sailing. Inzero's friends father worked for the State of New Jersey and gave Jim the maps which date from Circa 1930. Each map shows an interior section of New Jersey and is painted over with a different nautical scene, making each piece unique to the collection.
