Stan Sperlak is a juried member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America, The Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters, The Maryland Pastel Society of America and the Riverfront Renaissance Center of the Arts in MIllville.
Stan's pastels are an ode to the unique beauty of the skies, marshes, oceans, and fields of the Southern New Jersey iandscape, which is a timeless subject, and changing constantly.Stan captures every weather pattern, solar, lunar, and celestial events that pass above his stage. “I’m surrounded by thousands of acres of marsh and a land so flat that the sky is as fully visible as it would be on a boat at sea. I paint what I know, what I see and how it makes me feel.”
