Jimm Ross – Biography
Born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan and then moving to Philadelphia in 1990 to attend business school, I was exposed to many diverse artistic communities.
I have always strived to express my creative visions via art and music.
After also traveling to France and Italy in the early 90’s, I discovered my passion for painting.
Upon returning to Philadelphia I met my wife Robbi, a Temple Art graduate, who encouraged me to pursue an career in art.
Moving to Cape May, N.J. in 1999, exposed me to endless scenes of inspiration and beauty, and motivated my desire to capture and convey the lands by the shore.
After experimenting with various mediums I discovered pastel paints, which offered further insight to create on a consistent basis.
Many years of studying, creating and exhibiting afforded me an opportunity to open my own gallery in Cape May, which unfortunately coincided with events that strained everyone.
My artwork has been collected and commissioned by many galleries and private enthusiasts along the East Coast.
Active associate member of the Pastel Society of America.
