In June of 2007, local Cape May artist and gallerist Janet MIller opened SOMA NewArt Gallery in Carpenters Square Mall, Cape May, NJ. SOMA's mission is dedicated to providing a quality exhibition space for the many talented artists working in the Southern New Jersey and Mid-Atlantic region.
SOMA has four exhibition galleries; the range of work includes paintings, photography, works on paper, video installations, sculpture and ceramics.
"I want to provide regional artists with the exposure they need to achieve their career goals," says Janet.
Janet MIller has a BA in Art History, and Studied painting at the Art Sudents League in NYC.
SOMA Gallery is Located in Carpenters Square Mall at 31 Perry Street, Cape May, NJ. The Gallery is SOuth of the Washington Street MAll, (SOMA) in the old industrial newspaper printing-press building.
